Thats tough Doug......how much is the warranty worth to you vs. Warn's known reliabilty? Im sure the used unit will work problem free but what if it doesn't? Are you comfortable taking it apart and making repairs?

i say used, just throwin it out there, i got mine m8000 from winch depot a few years ago. brand new its 542 shipped with the full warranty, not sure if you wanted the XD9000i for a reason.

I am with Dave..... if that shit breaks you are out $500 unless you can fix it yourself how often does a winch just "break"? solenoid will go bad and other simple issues...but ive never heard of a warn winch just breaking and the person throwing it in the trash as a result you can use that logic on buying any used car
