that thing seems way overpriced. and the lights seem like they are mounted too far back, a lot of the beam goes straight into the roof

I am actually a fake. My lights aren't hooked up totally. I hooked em up the way my bajas were and they draw too much power. I gotta put my relay in tomorrow and wire them to an actual switch instead of the factory fog light switch.

here are mine, I had the two w/o covers, standard Hella 500's and i got the middle two for x mas from my g/f, Hella 500FF, come with H3 bulbs and a crystal clear lense and a special reflector and are supposed to be far superior for all of $5 more than regular hella 500s.

I would like to make it known that I fucking hate wiring anything in a vehicle. These lights are definatly the last piece of auxillary electronics going into my jeep.

Just got all 6 of mine in today. Question - I ordered 3 sets of these (2 for my brother, 4 for me) and all the boxes seem the exact same except for one thing. On the bottom one of the boxes says in yellow DRIVING LAMP KIT, and the other two say in orange HALOGEN LAMP KIT. Did they screw up and send me two sets of nicer lights? Both are checked off on the side of the box as driving lamps.

sounds the same to me because they are all halogen lights and driving lamps. probably different/older packaging

oh so i thought my problem was not having that relay but instead one of my lights is fawked. Hooked a jumper directly to it and it doesn't light up. I'm rippin pissed. Didn't feel like dealing with it today in the snow but does anyone have any idea what I should do? Is it worth sending it back and dealing with that shit or can i just put a different bulb in there and see if that works?
