2.5 rs's are cool but they still go a for quite a bit of money. A kid at school has one with the jap motor and such. I'd drive one for sure but I just really want awd. If you can get one in good shape for a good price I would fo sho. My friends Legacy GT is a granny car, but it will stomp mustangs...

Yea youll be looking at wrx's then because trying to turbo a 2.5 NA motor is like putting money into a dana 35. Wrong. How am i wrong? Back when i owned my wrx i was on NASIOC(north amer. subaru impreza owners club forum) a lot and many arguements were started on that subject. If you wanted to build a 2.5rs into a boosted motor without having any weak points it would cost you more than spending the money initially to get a wrx. Sure there are people that have bought turbo kits and set it up for less than 2 grand or so but they almost always blow motors some point down the road.

Sure there are people that have bought turbo kits and set it up for less than 2 grand or so but they almost always blow motors some point down the road. See, that's difference. You read about it on the internet. I actually did it. I turbo'd my neighbors 99 RS in his driveway. When we were done it slaughtered wrx's in stockish form. We raced a friend of mine that had a Saab 92X (Saabaru) with a Cobb tuner flasher and we killed him. The RS was sold to a guy that drove down from Montreal, paid in cash after he took it around the block and sent a truck to pick up 3 days later. Its worth doing if its done right. His entire kit cost less than $1100. (my work on the car was free)

I'm not into the subi thing. I am into stomping all over wrx's. But looks like a good dd with great winter abilities. BTW I voted granny
