Just put new stockers back in it. Did you really waste a new one?

they werent new
but i figure i would make an upgrade so I don't have to worry about it.
can i do the drivers side without intake/exhaust removal?
it looks like its possible, but i have heard otherwise
(on a 4.0 xj)

Never actually looked at it. I'm just saying that if my engine in the chevelle is held down by the stock mounts, I wouldn't really worry about it. But if you are looking for an alternative that is cheap and foolproof which I am going to build and already have parts for the chevelle, build a torque strap. Basically a heim joint attached to some point on the engine, head, whatever that then attatches to the frame and uses swaybar endlink bushings to fasten it. Try to picture it. You could also just use a chain like the old guys used to.

Plus this eliminates the whole factor of all the stress on the drivers side motor mount, no bolt ripping or block distorting (sounds crazy right)?

i have those bombproof brackets. i have to transfer them to my new jeep soon. i only put the passenger side on because i ripped the bolts out of the block a few times and had no threads left really. wasnt that hard to put in but im not sure about the other side and never bothered to try it. will try it sometime tho

i have both of the MORE bombproofs. they were very easy to install, no exhaust/intake removal of any kind and they are a ton more solid than stock
