so i just put a set of 30's on the XJ. it shakes at 55 to 65 like a bastard. i did before the tires but now its worse. steering wheel does not seem to be shaking, i can feel it in the seat. i think it might be death wobble, i replaced the trackbar and steering stabalizer awhile ago and it seemed to help. but now it is back. jeep has 212k on it. control arm bushings? ball joints? any ideas let me know its getting really annoying. oh it has the 242 tcase in it. when im in full-time does not seem to do it as much. im gonna check the DS ujoints tomorrow as well

55-65 is 100% tires out of balance x2 When I had mine mounted they said they balanced them but I have vibes from 45-65 so I took it back, they re-balanced them, and the problem was gone |

I would think balance as well. Or a belt shift in the tire. We can discuss over some bowling.

55-65 is 100% tires out of balance Really? When I had no motor mounts it vibed at 55-65. Just for laughs, check the motor mounts.  |

not tire balance, did it before i put the 30's on, and i had been in the jeep the 30's came off when they were on and no shaking. im thinking its a front end problem, gonna look at it this week and see what i can find

will check motor mounts, tonight i found that whoever did an alignment on it last never tightened the adjusting sleeve. tightened it up and its about 60% gone. fixed the track bar hole as well. my buddy has a set of stock control arm i might throw in too for good measure

death wobble is like nothing you have felt before. its downright scary.....i say you do the airsoft beads in the tyrez. i just did in my 35s and i know alex has them in his 35s also. i have no vibes all the way up to 90
