what do you think that would sound like when i drove in 4x4 if my front diff had little to no fluid in it? ..... long story ill explain later.

may not sound any different, if any noise i could think of would like the sound of worn out brakes grinding after the gears got really hot and expanded

whining and howling most likely take it from me when im driving and say im doing 30 or something then im slowing to come to a stop. is that when the whining and howling would come in??? at least for the most part...

bottom of diff rubed on rock and i could of sworn i saw some kind of lube on the bottome of the diff or something ( i dont know if i was just being parinoid) . but im not complety sure. and now weeks later when i pop in 4 wheeler and im slowing down, it sounds like my front end is a bowing 757 landing on the strip.

driveshaft??? u joint? a little drop of gear fluid missing wouldnt hurt, ive heard of people running tranny fluid in their diffs without problems ... shit, mine leaks about a quart a week out the axle tubes
