In order.

- Installed sye kit, everything went smooth no probs

-went into 4wheel fine but wouldnt go back into 2wd inless i went in reverse and it clicked immediatly.

- put it back on lift with weight off drivetrain and went from 2wd to 4wd and back just fine.

- gave her a good run up the highway and now everything seems to work fine.

anyone have this scenario?

Sounds like it was a linkage problem and it worked its way out???

Yup thats a linkage issue, I had the same issue on my ZJ. Double check the adjustments its more then likely gonna come back cycle it through a few times just to make sure its okay but its nothing major just the little nut to control throw on the tcase lever.
