am i going to need strut compressors or could i drop my front axle low enough( once the frame is help up by jack stand of course) to install 4.5 coils while not snapping my brake lines or ext. also if i have 3 inch coils and need to install 2 inch coil spacers. same question though. school me please.

just dropping the axle down probably wont give you enough clearance. in the past i have found the easiest way is to flex it out with the shocks removed until you have enough room.

I had to drop mine completely to install 4.5" coils and 1" spacers. You can leave the lines attached though just remove the mounts.

NetraChamp and I had to use a spring compressor to install his 4.5 inch coils.

Flex em out, disconnect shock and somehow allow brakeline to stretch more. No chance the brake line will be long enough all bolted up.

rachet strap is what i did. cinched the coil down some and threw it in.

k thanks im just gonna jack stand my jeep up, kick the tires off, drop the axle, and flex it out. ill let you know how it goes if anyone cares. thanks agian

yea i always flex it out.. take everything that will hold the axle up off, shocks, swaybar links, tracbar. let it drop as far as possible. then even step on it to help it down. then if the coils wont just go in you can use a long skinny bar or pry bar to slide them up and onto the coil bucket.. works everytime for me..
