anybody run a spool with the d35? I'm thinking about doing either a full or mini until I upgrade my axles. Anyone have any input? I dont want to go crazy with expensive lockers b/c this axle is going to be going anyway. also ride quality isnt important b/c its NOT my dd

31's? I had my comanche welded with 31's and a dana 35 for half a year and whooped the shit outta it with high rpm dumps on the pavement and everything. I vote do it if you're running 31's or smaller. Anything larger and you'd be stupid to.

right now its just got the 31's. I decided im waiting to go bigger until I get the new axles. Max would be 33's and that would only be if ty fell into my lap. the d35 will likely be out by spring.

IMO spools in general are a big fail. Ran one, will never do it again on a rig that sees any measurable street time.
Sure it MAY not break, but consider the people youre wheeling with as well. Are they gonna be held up by a possible time bomb axle grenading?

damn dude u musta been runnin some big meats with a pinion angle like that. its looks like its like 20 degrees. i think if its only on 31s, its not your dd and it'll be gone by spring then do it.

it's 20 degrees like that because the pinion climbed the ring gear and took the center section with it
OMG SPOOL DEATH

What are you looking to find out? Do spools work? Yes. Is it worth your time to spool a D35. No, not a real spool anyway. Just weld the spiders in the carrier and be done with it.

Yea don't waste your money on a real spool, get a buddy with a welder.
