problem with those a pillar light mounts is if there's any dust or even if there isn't for that matter, they put the lights too close to the windshield, which produces more glare then you'd think. the light bar i used to have at the waaay front of my roof rack made a lot of glare on the windshield when they were on. they light up the path like a bastard but there was much glare. The position my lights are in on my hood are pretty functional and for the most part are out of the way, they provide a nice height, long distance beam..

This just in, i talked to my friend who works for EVB and he said the guy from rocklizardfab is going to start selling the a-pillar light mounts again within the next month or two. Not sure how accurate this info is but we'll see.
